Briefly About LOCUM TREE

LocumTree was developed by a community pharmacist for the community pharmacy setting. The concept began when trying to fill gaps in the pharmacist rota, without much luck. Locums would either already be booked for shifts, or they would not reply to messages at all. A desire to see a list of pharmacists, available to work on the days required, possessing the necessary skills and accreditations to maintain continuity of service, led to the development of LocumTree.

LocumTree is a marketplace for community pharmacy professionals. It allows locums to build profiles and post their availabilities with minimum defined rates, track invoices for previously worked shifts, and keep a diary of future shifts all in an easy to use FREE app.

LocumTree tackles the main issues often found with traditional locum agencies. Firstly, it avoids high one-off booking fees, by allowing UNLIMITED bookings. Secondly, by incorporating a feedback system into the employer portal, hardworking pharmacists can finally be rewarded for their efforts, and have the ability to become favourited by employers.  

For the first time, community pharmacy employers have the ability to handpick which pharmacy locum they would like to work, based on their availability, and store-specific requirements. This ensures that the store receives the locum right for them, in order to maintain smooth sailing in the absence of the regular pharmacist.

If a locum profile appears on the required date, it means that locum is free to work, and their rate matches what that which the employers is offering. Shift notifications are sent directly to the locum’s app, speeding up the booking process.
